Michael B Bennett Limited (“we”) take the private nature of your personal information very seriously, and are committed to protecting it. To achieve that, we have set up procedures to ensure that your information is handled responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws. This privacy policy sets out how we use any personal information we collect in the processes of acting as your accountant.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when, for example:

*  You provide contact details (e.g. name, address, phone numbers)

*  You verify yourself as a legitimate legal entity (e.g. passport and driving license details)

*  You send us your accounts for the preparation of your tax returns (e.g. bank statements, receipts)

“Personal information” is any information that we could use to identify you as an individual. It does not include personal information that is encoded or anonymized.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you so that we can prepare and submit your annual accounts and associated tax returns. This will require that we enter and maintain your personal data in our software databases. We also utilise your personal information during our routine communications with regulatory bodies such as HMRC and Companies House.

In the course of these and other agreed related services, we may send your details to, and also use information from third parties as mortgage brokers and fraud prevention agencies. The extent to which third parties may be involved will be fully described in the Terms and Conditions relating to the appropriate service(s).

Marketing

If you agree, we may use personal information to email you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you. We will not, however, share your information with any external company for marketing purposes.

If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date. You also have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted, please contact us at our registered offices.

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all your personal information, please email or write to us at our registered address. We may make a small charge for this service.

We strive to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
